.Karen Carpenter (Mar 2,1950 – Feb 4,1983) was an American singer & drummer. She & brother, Richard, formed the 1970s duo Carpenters, commonly called The Carpenters. She was a drummer whose skills earned her admiration from her peers, although mostly known for her vocal performances. Karen suffering anorexia nervosa, (an eating disorder of extreme dieting weight loss) died at the age of 32 from heart failure. ALL WELCOME
